Casale l’Antico Carro is located just 4 km from the historic center of Cortona. The property is nestled in the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by rolling hills of olive groves and vineyards, and by endless fields of wheat and sunflowers. The complex consists of a main farmhouse and a charming annex.
The Main Farmhouse features a reception area on the ground floor (open to the public from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and our delightful restaurant serving traditional Tuscan cuisine, with a dining room inside and a spacious gazebo with a wooden veranda outside. On the first and second floors, there are four guest rooms, connected by a cozy common room with sofas and a fireplace, and graced by a splendid wrought-iron staircase.
The annex, or “Casina”, was used in the early 1900s as a curing house and drying room for tobacco and later served as a storage shed for farm tools and the family’s wine cellar; today, it has been transformed into a cozy space featuring **2 small double bedrooms** and a comfortable common lounge area.
In future plans, this annex may also be converted into two apartments with private kitchens and bathrooms, offering guests an additional and exclusive service for complete freedom and independence.
To ensure a flexible vacation that meets every need, Casale l’Antico Carro offers its guests the option to choose between two different packages:
Bed and Breakfast (classic B&B package)
Half-board service (overnight stay with dinner included at our restaurant on days it is open)
