For those coming from both the north and the south via the A1 highway, we recommend taking the Valdichiana exit and continuing on the Bettolle-Perugia highway until the Pietraia exit. From there, continue toward Cortona until you reach the intersection with State Road 71 in the town of Riccio.
At the traffic light, turn left and then take the road on the right toward Ossaia. Continue to the end of the long, straight road. When you reach the stop sign, turn right and take the first road on the right toward Montalla. Continue along the main road without turning off; you’ll cross a bridge and, keeping to your right, you’ll find Casale l’Antico Carro Restaurant and B&B almost at the end of the village on your left, about 1,000 m from our last road sign.
For those traveling by train, we recommend the Camucia-Cortona station or, alternatively, the Terontola station on the Florence-Rome line. We advise you to always contact the property in advance to book a taxi service as soon as one becomes available to take you directly to our B&B in Cortona.
The closest airports to the B&B are Perugia Sant’Egidio (55 km), Florence Peretola (120 km), Pisa Galileo Galilei (180 km), and Rome Fiumicino (230 km). From the airport, you can rent a car or take a shuttle to the train station in the city where you land.
